- I got a book called "Creepers". Epic right? The main character's name is COURTNEY. EPIC WIN AT LIFE. I haven't read it yet. :/ I want to but it's been a busy few weeks. So hopefully I'll get to read it soon.
- Lady Gaga - Fame Monster CD, Dashboard Confessional - Alter The Ending CD, itunes gift card.
New Moon Calendar :D- fleece blanket, clothes, and lastly, you know those prayer crosses? The ones that show the Lord's Prayer when held up to the light? The ones with the REALLY LAME commercials??? I got one. My Pap-Pap saw the commercial, thought they were neat and ordered everyone one. The company completely ripped him off though. I don't suggest buying any.
2010!!! FINALLY!!! Went out to Pap-Pap's. We all hung out and ate food. Watched HP & HBP. Left for home at 10:30pm. My family went to bed except Leigh and I. We stayed up. Missed the ball drop though. I did eat my beef and cheese though so its all good!! It's not New Year's Eve without Hickory Farms Beef and Cheese. :D
Family:
My family is wonderful. Don't get me wrong. But some of them are really starting to irk me. A lot. It's quite sad. I basically been seeing my entire family on my dad's side way too often lately. There's a reason which I'll talk about next, but its getting to be too much. No one wants to fight so they ignore issues but its getting ridiculous. I, who hates conflict and avoids it the best I can, can't believe what my family is putting up with from each other. Esp. considering "The Rothharpt Temper". It's bewildering.

Pap-Pap:
Tuesday morning before Christmas, my Pap-Pap went back into the hospital with severe stomach pain. Turned out his stomach was backing up so everything he ate and all his meds from the previous three weeks weren't digested properly. He was under heavy pain meds so he slept 99% of the time. He would wake up every now and then and recognize people and try to talk, but he'd fall back asleep. He missed Christmas at his house. (Now this whole time I was working on campus with the exception of Christmas Eve afternoon to the day after Christmas). After I got back to school that Saturday for work, I didn't hear from ANYONE in my family until Monday night. I knew something was wrong since even Leigh hadn't been online. So my mom called to tell me that Pap-Pap wasn't doing too good and that if I could find someone to cover for me Jan 1st, it would be best for me to come home asap. Just in case. So I tried my best the next day at work to find someone to cover for me. When I got back to my dorm after work, my mom called again. I told her I hadn't found anyone to cover yet but one girl said that I didn't have to worry about it if I left early anyway. So my mom then told me to pack because she was coming to get me. Pap-Pap was doing a bit better, like trying to talk, but his brain was swelling again. So I packed/defrosted my fridge/cleaned the room a bit/washed dishes/ate in about 2 hours. Still not sure how I accomplished that. So we went straight to the hospital. Leigh, Pam, and I got snacks from the snack machine. That was fun. A bunch of people came in and out to visit. Pap-Pap was talking a bit. He looked pretty good considering everything. Eventually we left. The next day my sisters, my cousins, and me spent the ENTIRE day at Pap-Pap's while our parents went to the hospital. We went out for a bit after that. Then we were left at home for 3 hours alone while our parents went up to visit again. Then when they came back, we went out to Pap-Pap's house. We were told that a little after 8pm, Pap-Pap had passed away. The whole family was just a mess. I've spent everyday out at Pap-Pap's house since then. Saturday and Sunday was insane because my entire family spent BOTH days at the house. Katrina and Lauren and Shanny were just WAY too annoying about the kittens. All three kittens were shaking and really stressed because they would sneak them up stairs and keep them up there. Then my second cousins would come and drink and get all drunk while my parents and uncle wouldn't even do that. It was just an excuse to drink for them I guess. My Pap-Pap's house is really small too so for 20+ people to be there, it was insane. The funeral was this past Tuesday. The service was amazing. I officially LOVE the Fraternal Order of Police. They are just too awesome for words. Pastor Gould's Sermon was amazing too. The weather was FREEZING outside though. I think the breaking point for all of the people in the family was when my Great Aunt Diane showed up. We were told she wasn't coming. The only funeral she ever went to was my Grammy's funeral. Grammy was her sister. So when she showed up with Uncle Larry, we all just broke down. There was a luncheon after the burial. Then my entire family gathered yet again at my Pap-Pap's house.
btw, Lily and Mia are going to my cousin Lynn. I was devastated at first. Lily is M BABY. I want to take her so bad. It's killing me. But Lynn is all alone and she'll be a good mommy to them. So I'm coming to accept the fact that Jan 11th is the last day Lily will officially end being my baby. Sally still needs a home. I don't think it will be hard finding one for her though. My family is big enough. Someone will take her.
My Faith:
Fact: I hardly cried about Pap-Pap's passing away. I cried my soul out about Lily Sunday night, but I have hardly cried at all about Pap-Pap. I think it's because I've been expecting this since September when all this started and also because my prayers were answered. While the most of my family prayed that Pap-Pap would get better, I prayed that whatever was best for him would happen. No matter which way I look at it, 95% of the reasons for him to have lived were selfish. Now that Pap-Pap has passed on he isn't suffering and he doesn't have to deal with Evil Marie ever again. Most importantly, Grammy and Pap-Pap are back together again. I believe that Pap-Pap passing away was the best option for him. So I am thankful to God that Pap-Pap died. I'm not angry like I was when Grammy died. I'm not angry or frustrated like I was when Eric died in October either. Lately I've been really stressed out about every single little thing and the only thing that can calm me down is the fact that God has a plan and one day I will look back and see how everything does fit together. Everything will be okay one day. All semester all I've wanted was someone to hug me and let me cry and tell me that everything is going to be okay. I've finally realized God's been doing that my entire life. I CAN make it through anything. No matter how impatient I get, I can wait because God knows when the time is right. So next time you think you might not make it, just remember you aren't alone. "You have never been unloved" - Max Lucado
On a much happier note: CHRISTA BLACK UPDATED HER BLOG!! <333333333333>
Quote of the Day: "No one was ever great without some portion of divine inspiration"-Cicero
I got that quote by creeping Nik Jonas's twitter. I was trying to think of some quote for my blog and I saw he replied to a girl that "that is a nice quote" so I creeped the girl and found that quote. I think it fits nicely.
Lots of Love and a Happy New Year!!!
