Like A Thief In The Night

Yay. So...life has been pretty much a roller coaster this week.

How I felt BEFORE my Temple visit. If you don't believe me just read the horrible babble of a blog I posted before this one. :)

I GOT ACCEPT!!! TO TEMPLE!!! :DDDDDDDDDD My appointment was so not what I was expecting. At all. I thought I would be sitting in front of a panel and they would interview me and such. Nope. I got called back to talk with one admissions person. She kinda looked like my 10th grade english teacher. But we sat down, she opened 2 envelopes to get to my transcript because DelVal thinks its necessary to place a transcript in one envelope and then place that envelope in another one. Anyway, the admissions lady glimpsed at my stuff and handed me my acceptance letter!!!!!! Oh!! She also said she's friends with a guy who graduated from DelVal with a major in Small Animal Science. He's now a vet. How ironic.
Afterwords, my bestie and I had korean food, watched some korean drama episodes, and went to Ash Wednesday Mass. :D YAY ASHES!! Then Olymics time!! :D Sleep, wake up, train.

I felt really weird all day Thursday and most of the day Friday once I was back at DelVal. I told my roomie why I went to Temple. We then discussed her feelings of how she doesn't want to be here anymore. So she is going to talk to her mom next time she goes home. I worked Thursday night and it was just horrendous. I wanted to cry. I was in chicken room. Here was all the stuff I had to do in 2 hours:
-SCRUB ALL 19 CHICKENS' FEET.
-Collect eggs
-Clean out their aspen bedding and replace with fresh bedding
-clean out and refill all water bowls
-Change Cockatiel pan liner
-Clean and refill water bowl
-fill out 5 trees worth of paperwork
-sweep
-mop
-Sanitize all 8 barrels and 2 mop buckets in cage wash
-stick on new sanitation tags.
-Deal with the Dennis vs. Nate marble war
IT WAS NEVER ENDING. Plus Nate kept staring at me. I guess it's cause I was fed up and miserable and actually showing it for once. Usually I try to be all happy and content at work.
Plus on top of that I was thinking about how this would be my last shift before everyone knew I was transferring. Worst night of work ever.
Although I did have to deliver my how to speech on Thursday as well. That, at least, went pretty well! My heart wasn't beating ridiculously fast. I was still all flustered and such but not as many "ummmmm"'s as I thought. :)
But still. Work made me want to cry.

Friday I told my boss that I was transferring. She didn't kill me, thank goodness, but she wasn't happy. Example: "Are you finishing out the semester?" "Yes." "Okay, good. That makes it less terrible." :/ So after that I walked back to my room and And cried my eyes out. Then I got a text from Dennis asking if I could work for him. So I had to work Friday pm.

Work was better!! I almost had to do chicken again but my supervisor SJR put me in dog room. Thank goodness. Although I had to train an intro student. He was smelly. As in pothead smelly. And his perfectionism was INTENSE. I have NEVER seen ANYONE scrape poop off a floor as thoroughly as he did. Craziness. So after that I had to sweep and mop the classroom. It was just SJR and me in the room. She then says to me, "We need to talk." I was thinking that Becky told her I was transferring. SJR then says, "Sooooooooo...how was the intro guy?!????" I then explained how he smelled of pot and was an insane perfectionist. I continue mopping. Finally she says, "We need to talk. Again."
Me: *oh crap. she does know.*
Her: "So Becky told me you were transferring..."
Me: *explains everything*
Her: "German? That's so cool!! If I ever need anything in German I will definitely call you!"
Me: "You should!!" :)
So I haven't told anyone else but I assume that my other supervisor knows too. Tuesday at my work meeting I will definitely tell everyone else. Especially Lauren and Kristina.

Today I did laundry. I nearly had a heart attack too. I went to put my darks and whites in the dryer. I put in my darks and then went to put in my whites. The washer that had my whites in it was running a load of colors. My whites were NOWHERE to be found! So I was freaking out a bit. I went back to check as the other dryers were done. Someone put my whites in a dryer and ran it for me. Sweet but they didn't put any dryer sheets in with my clothes. :| Other than that not much else happened today.

Can't Box Me In

So...I have 5 minutes to waste before I leave to catch the train to Temple for my Transfer Decision Appointment!!! So nervous. But excited!! Plus I get to see my Bestie!! <3>
Hmmm....let's see...OH! Something interesting to say!!!
What I'm doing for Lent:
1. No twitter!! It won't be that hard since I haven't tweeted as much lately. But still. 47 days.
2. I am going to cut back on snacking. I have been snacking a lot more since last semester do to stress and stuff so I need to cut back again. Haha.

So...what are you doing for Lent?

I'm gonna go do some random dancing to try and calm my obviously antsy self down. ;)

Last Tuesday:
Classes. Blah. Work meeting was awesome. Last week was international Tech Appreciation Week so we had a party!! My team won the trivia game we played. :D
My best friend has a new bf. I like him though! He seems very nice. Plus, he speaks GERMAN. That's a win at life in my book.
It started snowing around 7 pm! I love the snow. :) My roomie and I waited and waited and waited for a text saying school was closed. Every other school was closed but ours.

Wednesday:
5:38 am - text message comes saying school is canceled!!! :D Around 1pm I got called into work to cover for a girl who lived off campus. The wind was insane. I had to walk through what seemed to be 5 ft of snow half way across campus for work. On the way back to my dorm, I almost got plowed away. Haha. I spent the rest of the day until 4:30 watching Witch Yoo Hee. <3>
Basically Wednesday was an epic win at life.
Oh, we actually got a text during work saying that classes were canceled for Thursday! They also, of course, sent us another text as a reminder at 5:30am again.

Thursday:
No classes! I slept in til 11am. My roomie and I then went bowling...on her wii! I won! :)
Then it was work. It went fine until the end of our shift. Our one super wanted to take a group photo. We all sat on the counter or on chairs. I was sitting next to my other super. She then grabs my left hand. I was expecting her to ask if I had hurt myself at work (which I had on Monday) but she didn't. Instead it went down like this:
Super NAM: ARE YOU ENGAGED?!?!?!?!
Co-Workers: *GASP* WHAT?!?
Me: NO! It's a Promise Ring!!!
Super NAM: FROM WHO?!?!?!
Me: *red* No! It's a no-sex-before-marriage-ring!
Kerri: NAM! It's a purity ring!!
Super NAM: Oh.
Kristina: Oh look what you did NAM!! Courtney's face is BEET RED! She's gonna be all red for the group photo!!
Me: *feels ears starting to burn thereby proving what Kristina said to be true*
Super NAM: I'm sorry!!!
Lauren: *hugs my head* *says something encouraging that I can't really remember*
Me: *shrinking into chair*

That was my awkward moment for the week. Yup. After the the pictures were taken, we had to then go jump Nicola's truck. Her battery died in front of the library. So Nate the jerk ditched. Super NAM went to get her SUV and the rest of us stood around looking constellations while we waited. After that was through we went to dinner.

Friday:
Classes weren't canceled but I didn't have any classes anyway. So I did clean up in the room and do a bunch of homework. I had to work again. It wasn't as fun since we weren't hyped about the snow anymore. My roomie drove us back to berks county.
SLEEPOVER!!! My sisters and my cousins and I had a sleepover at my Pap-Pap's house! It was so much fun!! Although I got stuck with sleeping the death trap they call a recliner. I ended up just sleeping on the floor then. That chair is seriously trying to kill me. Legit.

Saturday:
Woke up. Went grocery shopping, went to the dollar store, and to Target and Walmart. I watched the Olympics with my family that night. I LOVE THE OLYMPICS. Mostly the Winter Olympics though. The Summer Olympics are cool too but I just LOVE the Winter Olympics. I seriously wish I could figure skate. That would be fantastic. I absolutely ADORE Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo. <3>

Sunday:
Valentine's Day. Or as Sam put it: Singles Awareness Day! I dislike V-Day. If you have someone I'm sure its great but I think you should treat your someone like that all the time. Not just once a year. And for us single people, it's kind of just a smack in the face. Although getting candy from friends and family is always a win.

Today:
I had work from 8am til 2pm. I watched more Olympics earlier. My roomie got back around 5pm. Currently I am watching figure skating. There are 4 more pairs to go. Shen and Zhao are last. :D <3>

I guess that's it for now. This isn't as long as I thought it would be. I left out a bunch I guess. I'll have to add stuff when I remember it. Haha.
